Biodynamic Craniosacral Treatment

Biodynamic Craniosacral Treatment (BCST), discovered by Dr. William G. Sutherland in the early 1900s, evolved from Osteopathy. It offers a gentle, non-invasive approach to bodywork, focusing on restoring an overwhelmed nervous system by listening to the body's innate wisdom.

Throughout life, individuals accumulate stress, trauma, and injury, leading to the development of blockages and holding patterns in the connective tissue. These patterns create restrictions in the body, contributing to ongoing physical and psychological health conditions. BCST serves as a powerful method to facilitate the healing of physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual traumas, including chronic pain.

The treatment begins with the practitioner creating a safe, neutral space for the client's system to engage. Gently making contact with the client's body, the practitioner listens to the system, connecting with its fluids and tides. Recognising that the body, consisting of 60-75% water, expresses tidal rhythms akin to the ocean, the therapist navigates these rhythms and the fluid matrix. This process enables the reorganisation of energetic and emotional layers, empowering the client's body to resource itself towards optimal health.

BCST establishes a secure environment for clients to explore and overcome unresolved experiences, rewriting old holding patterns and creating new pathways. Trauma often alters our perception of reality, influencing our narrative and how we recount the story of our lives. Bodies can become entrenched in protective reflexes and strategies to regulate the impact of traumatic changes. BCST plays a pivotal role in shifting this narrative from "what you are trying to overcome" to "what you are working towards," fostering a more positive outlook for the future.
